Annie Koch

PE, Project Manager

Annie Koch is Energy Studio’s resident world traveler. She isn’t your average tourist, though; Annie spent a year studying abroad in Germany (where she took engineering classes in German – autsch!) and taught English in Thailand for another. She loves learning about people and experiencing different ways of life, and has the heavily stamped passport to prove it.

Annie is also passionate about her work in Zero Net Energy projects, and believes it’s the direction we all need to be moving in. Her unique background gives her not only the ability to understand ZNE design, but also the teaching and public speaking skills necessary to explain it to others and guide them toward solutions. Annie appreciates the daily challenges and learning opportunities of her work, and takes satisfaction in knowing that her efforts are part of a bigger movement toward global sustainability.

Originally from the Milwaukee area, Annie currently lives in Chicago with her husband and two daughters. She’s proud of her work-life balance and enjoys going for bike rides and taking trips to the zoo with her family. Annie is also an art lover and enjoys painting alongside her daughters in their home arts and crafts studio.
